Requirements: Valid Driver's License; excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly; have your own vehicle - preferably a truck and/or trailer
Responsibilities: Load, unload, and inspect items to be delivered; complete necessary logs and reports; follow DOT regulations and safety standards
This is a per-request by key staff members. The time commitment is less than 10 hours a month.
The Assistant Pick-up & Delivery Driver is part of The Creative Workroom Team. The Creative Workroom Team acts as a multi-faceted receiving, sorting, and organizing room for Bright Futures Joplin. Donations include clothing and school supply donations for Darla's Room as well as from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores via the Kids in Need Foundation. Upon delivery to the workroom, these items are also sorted, organized, and stored here.
The Creative Workroom Team is responsible for picking up the donations from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores and ensuring delivery to the Donation Center. They will also collaborate together in order to inventory, sort, and organize donated items. Once the shelves are at max capacity, the Creative Workroom Team will assist key staff members in hosting Teacher Supply Giveaways for the Joplin School District's teachers.
