The Collingswood Book Festival is held Saturday October 1st from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm in Downtown Collingswood NJ.
As part of the festival we have featured authors who come and speak and sign books. We are looking for Author Advocates to be their personal assistants while they are at the festival. As well as their promoter before the festival.
What we expect:
- The Advocate will help spread the word on social media about the authors appearance under the guidance of a marketing committee member. We are requiring at least 3 hours of commitment between May and September
- The Advocate will attend a required meeting at the Collingswood Book Festival the last week of September to get their directions for the day of the event.
- The Advocate will greet the author and accompany them to their signing table and/or speaking tent. You will assist them with anything they need including retrieving food and beverages from the food pavilion.
- In addition we ask that you read the book ahead of time and while they are speaking have questions prepared to ask in case there is a lull in the audience.
This is an amazingly awarding opportunity and the spots are limited so please contact the coordinator soon at cbfvolunteer@yahoo.com
