Volunteering with hospice offers very flexible schedules. Volunteers are asked to provide about an hour of service a week. Before beginning, volunteers must complete at-home hospice training and training visits with the volunteer coordinator. Volunteers will go in a patient's home and provide the following:
- Companionship
- Reading
- Light housekeeping, errands
- Respite for families
- Assist with family history
- Playing music
- Painting nails, etc.
