Senior Steppers (Line Dancing) in Ontario County, NY
ORGANIZATION: Wayne County Action Program, Inc.
Please visit the new page to apply.
Help us expand our Senior Steppers Line Dancers from Wayne County to Ontario County! Senior Steppers meet once a week to practice for performances that are presented to the elderly in the community 6-8 times per year.
Besides performing the dance presentations, volunteers invite the audience to join in. Their message is loud and clear: being a senior citizen doesn't mean you have to sit in an easy chair all day. Get active!
Also during a short break in the middle, the group presents health tips, such as how to check for signs of cancer, how to stretch for flexibility and excercises that improve balance.
Want to join a group? Want to help lead? We'll train you!
