The Soldiers Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing confidential, free, ongoing psycho-therapy to Post 9/11 Veterans and their loved ones regardless of discharge status. As our Volunteer Outreach Coordinator, you will be key to helping us further our mission throughout the Seattle/Tacoma community. If you believe veterans deserve better mental health services for their sacrifices they have made and want to see them thrive, we would love to have you join us.
Duties and Responsibilities
·Assist in recruitment efforts of licensed psychotherapists, marriage and family therapists, and psychologists in Seattle/Tacoma Area.
·Conduct outreach to community partners in the both the Veteran and Mental Health space in order to spread awareness and gain support for The Soldiers Project in the region.
·Supports the national communications and fundraising objectives for the organization.
·Help in engaging other outreach volunteers in order to better support the mission of The Soldiers Project.
·Provide presentations/trainings to partners and local organizations as needed.
Note: This position does not involve providing direct services to veterans.

Description
The Soldiers Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been providing critically needed mental health services to Post 9/11 Veterans and their loved ones since 2004. Our services are provided by licensed, volunteer mental health professionals to all branches of the military, regardless of discharge status or deployment. The Soldiers Project operates through eight chapters and is located in seven states including: California, Washington, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New York, and Texas. Our headquarters are located in Los Angeles, California.
