The CSR Assistant will support the President and Program Committee which is responsible for overall planning and execution of environmental programs, related to the Caribbean Blue Economy including International Coastal Clean Up Day and UN World Oceans Day. This includes coordinating events on related topics, and building networks for environmental initiatives in or related to the Caribbean region. The goal of this initiative is to connect investors interested in CSR with information and resources to help them achieve their sustainability goals.
Responsibilities
- Network with Caribbean American business working on environmental and social programs in the region
- Compile information on relevant initiatives in the region
- Generate content for social media on relevant subjects
- Create new ideas and target audiences for special events to keep them fresh and engaging
- Provide support to President and the Board as needed
Requirements
- Progress toward a bachelor degree in a relevant subject.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, must effectively interact with Board members and volunteers at all levels
- Website design and social media content generation experience
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and listening with the ability to represent the organization in a professional manner
- Ability to multitask and work on multiple events simultaneously
- A commitment of at least three months
