Transitioning into your 20s and 30s is difficult; the job market is tough, real estate is expensive and the cost of tuition is at an all-time high.
Now imagine that you've just finished cancer treatment. You've lost valuable time and savings, and maybe your job. You feel like you're years behind everyone else in your age group. To top it off, you're suddenly faced with many expenses you didn’t have to think about during treatment.
When all of these issues collide, how do you find a job, pay for rent and afford health insurance?
The Samfund provides valuable support and resources to young adults looking to move forward with their lives after cancer. Through it's grants program, The Samfund has awarded over $1.5 million to young adults across the country, paying for expenses like rent, health insurance premiums, car repairs, and so much more.
For the second time, The Samfund will host a masquerade ball called "Unmasque Cancer" in Los Angeles during April of 2017. We are looking for volunteers to help plan this event under the guidance of a professional Event Coordinator, and provide support in the areas of Publicity, Event Sponsorship/Donations, and Decorations/Entertainment.
