Archway Housing and Services is a non-profit that serves low-income families in Colorado. We provide affordable housing and free social services to all our residents. Our social service programs include afterschool youth enrichment, adult education classes, and food bank services.

We are looking for a Cooking Teacher who can either teach Youth Cooking or Adult Cooking in our community in Arvada. The class size would be 10 youth or 5 adults. For youth the class would need to take place between 3-5 pm during the work week. The adult class could be more flexible about times. We are looking for someone to teach 1 x a week for 1-2 hours.

Description

Archway Communities was founded with the belief that affordable housing is a crucial element in building healthy communities. In pursuit of that belief, we seek opportunities to purchase vacant land for new construction or renovate obsolete multifamily developments. Shortly after we were founded, we began to recognize that residents need more than affordable housing to stabilize their lives - many were struggling with challenges like food insecurity, recovering from chronic homelessness, unemployment, single parenting, obtaining citizenship, and others. Archway Communities instituted the Supportive Services Program- resident focused, on-site programming- to address the needs of those living in our communities beyond simply providing a roof over their heads.
