Carter's House is a registered non-profit organization based in Irving, TX created to serve homeless and low-income families in need of clothing for their children in the DFW metroplex, and we are currently looking for committed individuals who are interested in becoming part of our team!
What do we do? We provide new and gently used clothing to families who need clothing and we are able to provide this service with the help of awesome donors and awesome volunteers. We are looking for volunteers who will assist in monthly retail and organizational assistance in the upkeep of our Children's Clothes Closet and setup on special events we have throughout the year for families. Please take a look at our current volunteer needs below.Each of this position should be able to dedicate a minimum of 5 hours each month.
The positions we are looking to fill are:
Retail Specialists- We need dedicated members to assist with our maintenance of our children's clothing bank. We have lots of donations coming in and more clothing going out to families, so we ask for those who are willing to commit about 4-5 hours per month to come and lend a hand.
Event Helper- Carter's House hosts 2 big events a year. During these events, we need special helpers to assist with setup/tear-down, and event guides to assist our visitors during these events.
Fundraising Helper- We need creative individuals to help put the FUN in fundraising. Carter's House would like a special helper to assist in the creation of some fun and meaningful events to help raise awareness and assistance to allow Carter's House to continue serving the youth of our metroplex!
Each of these positions is strictly on a volunteer basis and all will have interaction with the Founder and Executive Director of the organization. There are job descriptions for all positions and if you are interested, please contact us.

It is the mission of Carter's House to aid homeless and low income families by providing quality clothing to their children, ages zero to fourteen years old at no cost in an effort to reduce the financial hardship associated providing them this basic need.
Description
Carter's House is a nonprofit children's clothing bank located in Dallas, TX that provides quality clothing for children in low-income families at no cost. We provide our clients with an individualized shopping experience. We want them to feel special and remind them that the community still cares. We do this all while treating them with the dignity and respect they deserve.
