Please join us for a stewardship workday at Capital City Bird Sanctuary. This little-known sanctuary is a great place to spot breeding eastern bluebirds, rose-breasted grosbeaks, warbling vireo, and eastern kingbirds. Help us protect this urban bird sanctuary by removing invasive species and encouraging native habitats. Possible activities include hand-pulling invasive weeds, cutting down invasive brush, trail maintenance, native seed collection or river cleanup. Please come prepared for outdoor work; wear long pants, long sleeves, close-toed shoes, and a hat. Bring work gloves, water, snacks, insect repellent, and sunscreen, although we will have extras on hand. This event is weather dependent.
Contact Rachelle Roake at email@example.com or 517-580-7364 with any questions or to RSVP.
We hope to see you at the sanctuary!
