About

Global Potential (GP) transforms youth from underserved communities through education, service learning and cultural exchange into globally competitive leaders of positive change in their lives and communities. GP is an 18-month transformative after-school and summer program that works with 500 youth a year in New York City. The GP program includes 16.5 months of workshops locally and 1.5 months of international service learning and cultural exchange in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Nicaragua.

Major Objective: The Talent Management Associate is responsible for implementing Full Life Cycle Recruiting to meet all hiring needs of the organization and ensuring on boarding and introduction process of new hires.

Reports to: Chief Program Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Create Job Descriptions and post GP’s various recruitment sites. Works in collaboration with Social Media Coordinator to ensure job postings at GP’s Social Media

  • Source and screen applicants for various volunteer positions within the organization

  • Schedule and conduct screening interviews with candidates

  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers

  • Follow up after the interview

  • On board and orient new hires

  • Perform all the required administrative work for the recruiting process

  • Maintain and update staff database

Skills and qualifications:

  • College or a bachelor's degree and/or relevant HR experience

  • Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and oral)

  • Ability to work independently and creatively, as well as part of a team

  • Experience with ATS and/or HRIS

  • Knowledge of MS Office suit, both PC and Mac savvy

  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Google suite (gmail, calendar, Google Drive) is a plus

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, enthusiastic personality

  • Ability to multi-task in busy environment

Other skills requirements:

  • High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information

  • Passionate about youth from underserved communities and commitment to GP’s mission, interest in working with non-profits or in international development

  • Ability to commit at least 15 hours per week
