Compass to Care is a childhood cancer foundation focused on supporting a child’s cancer journey by scheduling and paying for travel arrangements.
We are seeking volunteers who will help place cold calls during the day to introduce elementary school principals to our Replace The Lace program.
This will not be a hard selling call. Rather, we are trying to raise awareness of our Replace the Lace program and give principals information about how they can get their schools involved.
We would like volunteers to work 5-10 hours a week for the next two months. After training in our office, you are welcome to volunteer from home.
We need individuals immediately!

Mission Statement
Compass to Care ensures children, whose parents have a financial, can access life-saving cancer treatment. We carry out this mission by scheduling and paying for cancer-related travel necessities so children can get from their homes to the best medical center for treatment. This includes airfare, bus fare, car rental, gasoline, lodging, parking fees, taxi fees, tolls and train fare.
Description
Having a child with cancer is hard.
Not being able to get to the hospital for treatment is heart-breaking. That's where we step in.
With a focus solely on helping with cancer-related travel needs, Compass to Care's aim is to help families whose children must travel for cancer treatment by:
- Eliminating some of the monetary burdens resulting from medically-necessary travel costs;
- Removing the physical and emotional stress that comes with planning a trip and traveling with a child who is ill;
- Providing peace of mind by removing travel costs so they can focus their energy on their child; and
- Giving hope that by getting to the right hospital they may save their child’s life from this devastating disease.
