Boost your resume, put your theory into practice and gain further experience in mental health as a volunteer at our Assisted Living Facility for 16 adults with mental illness, homelessness and substance abuse issues.

Volunteers must be 18 or older and be willing to commit to a 6 or 12-month placement and work a 40 hour week in exchange for room and board and a weekly food allowance. We assist International volunteers and assist with visa preparation and travel expenses.

Volunteers supervise and assist our residents in daily activities such as transportation to appointments, supported employment, life skills, assistance with medication, cooking, cleaning bedrooms, laundering clothes, personal hygiene skills and recreational activities. Volunteers are also responsible for accurate resident record keeping, office & keyworker duties. There is room for volunteers to utilize their own skills or specialize in positions such as Activities Coordinator
