Mission Statement

Mission: The Clinic provides quality health care to the uninsured, in an atmosphere which fosters dignity and respect for our patients. It is our privilege to do so. Vision: To provide solutions to the healthcare needs of our patients and to promote wellness for all.

Description

Founded in 2001, The Clinic was the dream of two women, Dr. Lorna B. Stuart and the Reverend Marie Z. Swayze. Dr. Stuart and Mother Marie wanted to create a medical center that would provide primary medical care services to people who did not have medical insurance. The Clinic is located in the former rectory of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Phoenixville.

The populations we serve are people who truly fall through the cracks of human and social services. Our patients are people from all walks of life, from downsized employees and small business owners, to students and recent immigrants; old and young, male and female. They do not qualify for Medicare or Medicaid, and often their income is just over the requirement based upon 150% or 200% of the federal poverty level guidelines. When it comes to health care these people simply fall through the cracks and cannot afford the cost of a regular doctor's office visit.
