The Huntington's Disease Society of America's Oklahoma is in great need of volunteers to help support the HDSA"s mission of improving the lives of those with Huntington's Disease within Oklahoma.

Volunteer Coordinator - The volunteer coordinator actively recruits volunteers, posts volunteer opportunities, maintains the volunteer list, trains new volunteers, and regularly communicates with volunteers. The coorinator also acts as the day-of contact for volunteers at events

Webmaster - We are in need of a webmaster to regularly post new events/update nformation onto the http://www.hdsatexas.org/ website. No prior webmaster experience necessary. Time commitment is 5-10 hours/month.

Fundraising Chair - The fundraising chair actively looks for new fundraising opportunities within the community while at the same time helping to oversee the current fundraising activities and managing the budget to ensure that revenues and expenses are in-line with the 2016 budget.

Law Enforcement Advocate - Provides outreach to law enforcement and local physicans to educate them about Huntington's Disease. Law Enforcement Toolkits and powerpoint presentations are provided.

Auction Chair - The auction chair researches, collects and provides set-up and volunteer support for Affiliate event auctions. Previous auction supporting documents are available.

Grant Writer - No experience neccesary! Cut/paste grants using a grant tmeplate as well as search new grant opportunities!

Mission Statement

The Oklahoma Chapter is our state's voice for Huntington's Disease. We serve as a local advocate in providing support and services for Huntington's patients and their families in coping with the multi-faceted problems associated with HD. We support the national effort in finding a cure for HD.

Description

We will be a strong, well-known, well-funded, group that is able to provide a variety of useful services to HD patients and families, through promoting awareness, education, research, and generating support from the community.
