Help a Hospice Patient in Akron!

ORGANIZATION: Residential Hospice

Hospice patients in Akron are in need of friendly visitors. Volunteers are never asked to provide personal care for patients, but to be a person to put a smile on the face of someone in this time of need. We ask that people converse, read books, play games, whatever both the patient and volunteer are comfortable doing. Volunteers are asked to make a committment to visit at least once every other week for one hour.

You will be surprised at the joy you will receive when you become a hospice volunteer. Training (which can be online at your own pace), a background check, and a TB test are required, but at no cost to you. Contact us for more information!
