The Bay Area Book Festival is Northern California's biggest literary event presenting over 250 authors and 100 presentations to more than 25,000 attendees in downtown Berkeley over 2 days. We are looking for outgoing, friendly volunteers to join our fun team and help to answer questions about venues, street booths, manage stages, information booths, escort authors, sell tickets, distribute posters, and more.
The event is a Sat and Sunday (5/2 and 5/3) and shifts would be only 1/2 a day - so the rest of your time is free to enjoy seeing your favorite authors (free wristbands for volunteers), go to presentations, enjoy festival food, entertainment, etc.
If you enjoy literary arts, or just the fun of festivals and being on a team that makes it happen, join us! It is totally a fun experience and no job is too small, or too big. No experience required.
