Volunteer Chore Services provides free transportation to frail low-income elderly and adults with disabilities who can no longer drive or use public transportation to get to medical appointments. Volunteer drivers can accept whatever rides they choose that will fit with their schedule. Volunteer drivers are reimbursed for gas mileage. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and must have valid driver's license, a dependable vehicle and auto insurance. Due to the vulnerable population that we serve volunteers are required to complete an application which asks for 3 references and authorization to run a background check. Volunteers are also asked to provide a copy of their driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
