Love to sing, dance, play an instrument, craft and interact with the elderly? We are looking for volunteers to join our activity group who enjoy bringing smiles to seniors. We have a team that bops around to various long term care facilities in North Kansas City, Kearney, Excelsior Springs and Platte City, who organize and run an activity for residents. I am not sure who enjoys it more, the seniors or the volunteers who assist!
From sing-a-longs, interactive memory games, remembering and sharing the past, the opportunity to get moving from their chair to a chance to make something by hand, we ALWAYS have FUN!
We are looking for those who are leaders and can run these groups to those who can spot a senior who needs just a little extra attention and partner with them to help them engage. As a retired Girl Scout Leader, this type of volunteer role has been a perfect fit for me!
To join us, you will need to attend Crossroads Hospice Volunteer Training to learn more about how seniors and their family manage end of life issues. We are currently arranging individual training or in small groups as interested people come forward.
For More Information and to arrange training, call Kathy Fetters at Crossroads Hospice 816-389-5426.

Mission Statement
Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care is committed to being at the forefront of the hospice care industry, to continually shape the way palliative care is viewed and administered so that everyone can expect more from us.
Description
Expect More From Us. We Do. Why not? That's a question we ask ourselves every day. In fact it is the question responsible for our beginning and has made us what we are today. Because "why not?" helps us find new and better ways to deliver hospice care to patients, families, caregivers, and health care professionals alike. It helps us connect with our communities, share our knowledge, be accessible 24/7, innovate, lead, and raise the bar. In fact "why not?" has helped us create a hospice experience we believe is second to none...and are confident you'll agree.
