ORGANIZATION: Mothers Against Drunk Driving - Southeast Texas

MADD has adopted a new tag line that we like to focus on, "No More Victims." Our most important focus is the service and aid to the victims of this violent crime and their families. As a victim services volunteer, you can be an assistant to our staff Victim Advocates here in the office and help them as your schedule allows to do all the many administrative duties to serve the victim cases that they are assigned. You can be a "buddy" and go to court and let the family know you are there on behalf of MADD. Be the "eyes and ears" of MADD. From your own home and county you can help us locate victims that we don't know exist. We don't have a direct line and depend on others to help us find our victims so we can help them in a great way! In this program you can research the internet, news sources, and various ways to hep us reach out to every family that has had a loss or hit.

Please complete the online MADD volunteer application on our website at www.madd.org.

Mission Statement

The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime, and prevent underage drinking.

Description

Mothers Against Drunk Driving - Southeast Texas Affiliate, is currently working on projects to raise awareness on the services it provides. MADD is the largest free victims services organization in the country. MADD also works tirelessly to prevent underage drinking through its varied school-based programs.

Harris county is the deadliest county in the United States when it comes to traffic fatalities where alcohol is involved. In short, more people lose their lives in our community to drunk drivers than in any other community across the nation.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving depends on the support of our citizens and community leaders to help us in our efforts to eradicate drunk driving.
