Habitat for Humanity works worldwide to mobilize volunteers to end poverty housing by building simple, decent, and affordable housing in partnership with hard working families in need. The Habitat for Humanity ReStores sell affordable new and used home improvement items to fund the homebuilding program while keeping tons of material out of the landfill each year. Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that allows you to develop or use business skills? Are you looking for an opportunity that provides you with public relations training? Then the Habitat ReStore Outreach Ambassador Volunteer Program may be for you. The ReStores are offering hard working individuals a chance to gain experience in public relations, sales, and business networking.

Our Outreach Ambassadors form relationships with local businesses focusing on product procurement for the Portland Metro ReStores. Outreach Ambassadors also table events like local farmers markets all the way to major trade shows. If you are interested in developing yourself as a leader this is the opportunity for you.

If you have business, sales, or outreach experience or if you're looking to learn then we're looking for you. There are thousands of businesses in the area that simply don't know about the ReStores and the work that we do. We need you to help us spread the word and help businesses find exponentially beneficial solutions to their overflow of last year's stock and other overstock issues.

This is a new program for dedicated volunteers that offers great business skill development opportunities. Involvement parameters are based on the volunteer’s availability and time. Involvement parameters can also be tailored to the volunteer’s time and skill level.
