Seeking Leaders, Managers for Volunteer Leadership Team at ground-breaking Non-Profit Theater that also serves the community and at-risk and homeless youth!


Join our Volunteer Leadership team and make a meaningful contribution to our community through using your managerial talents and leading teams to support the award-winning programs at The Actors Theatre Workshop.

QUALIFICATIONS


We seek experienced grant writers to pursue program related funding, as well as funding for general operating expenses. We are interested in enthusiastic volunteers with excellent management and organizational skills who would bring their ideas and skills to build and manage effective teams . While a background in grant writing is preferred, we welcome all applicants with strong writing skills. Help us to acquire the means to serve the homeless children and other community members that come through our doors!


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Write grants, proposals and other forms of communication.

  • Conduct research in order to develop applicable fundraising ideas, assist in the organization of fundraising events and support other administrative activities related to fundraising in order to maintain various funding streams in support of the Grants To our organization.

  • Pursue program related funding, as well as funding for general operating expenses. Projects development proposals, letter-writing, templates for future applications, and foundation research.

  • Increase audience attendance for events and productions, and generate more online/offline donations.

  • Conduct research on potential funding sources

  • Work closely with management in developing and transforming ideas into grant proposals.

  • Maintain working knowledge of particular areas involved in identifying and soliciting grants; may collaborate with various departments

  • Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals

  • Able to execute and expand upon an established fundraising plan to grow and diversify ATW funding across a range of sources

Description

Founded over two decades ago, the Actors Theatre Workshop is an established pioneer in non-profit theatre that produces classical and contemporary plays, develops new dramatic works, trains and develops actors, directors and writers while making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth and the community at large. Thurman E. Scott, ATW's artistic director, Executive Producer and Founder, is a widely acknowledged expert of artistic project development, an innovator of award-winning arts curriculums and programs for proffessional artistic training, and has a long and successful history of public service to culturaly under-served communities.
