Are you a meticulous organizer with a superb eye for detail? We are looking for an individual who wants to take their administrative skills to help make equal access to justice a reality for the people we serve. Since 1989, ELAP has provided a variety of civil legal services enabling equal access to justice including, one-on-one legal clinics, unbundled legal services, brief services, limited and full representation, and community education lectures. Your role as Executive Assistant to the E.D.is to help keep the internal mechanisms of the organization moving smoothly
Duties:
- Provide clerical and office support including data input, processing and updating in MS Excel, donor database or client database;
- Scan and/or file documents;
- Create documents by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics;
- Conserves executive's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications
- Maintains strict client confidentiality
- Perform other office support tasks as requested
- Reports to ELAP Executive Director
Days/ Hours:
10 - 15 hours per week
days negotiable.
Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Communicates well in English, both in writing and speaking;
- Problem solver;
- Self motivated;
- Desire to learn new ways to do old task;
- Esperance with event planning and community outreach;
- Strong experience using MS Excel and MS Word;
- Ability to complete tasks in an efficient manner meeting deadlines
