Available hours are some Saturdays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays-seasonally and by request, typically 11:30 to 3:30.

Job Description:

The Byers-Evans House Museum seeks volunteers to assist with our seasonal and special themed teas. Teas are a favorite program among members of History Colorado and help serve the mission of the Byers-Evans House Museum by encouraging visitors to share the experience of this historic home and fascinating time period with friends and family. Themed teas may also include programs on special topics in Denver’s history and cultural heritage.

Duties Include:

  • preparing a welcoming space for teas by setting the tables and arranging decorations
  • welcoming guests and answering questions-tea volunteers will have opportunities to tour the museum and learn more about its history and décor
  • plating tea and serving, assisting in clearing tables, food is prepared by a caterer and museum staff moves tables and chairs and finishes the major cleaning

Desired Skills:

Tea servers should be comfortable standing for long periods and handling food. They should be personable and enjoy serving as a host for events. Tea servers should be comfortable working in a team and managing a time line.
