Programs are offered Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. year-round, but are very popular in the months of April and May. Most docents work 1 - 2 shifts per month in the slower season and 4- 8 shifts per month in April and May.
Education docents work with our school programs which are interactive and hands-on. Docents guide students through the houses and gardens and facilitate their learning by instructing them through the provided material. On-Site Training is Provided.
Education docents should feel comfortable talking to large groups of children, physically able to walk and talk for up to three hours in a row, and able to monitor the collections closely while simultaneously giving a tour.
We'll work with your schedule.
