Hello and Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Age Well Centers in Fremont
***Lake Elizabeth Fremont and South Fremont Locations***
We are happy to announce that our new location is now open and we are actively in search of new volunteers for both sites.
I am Chef David and I have a wonderful opportunity for you to learn to cook with a professional Chef. I have been cooking since 2002 and love to share my knowledge of food. The opportunity you have available here is a kitchen that cooks comfort food for Seniors in a healthy nutritional manner. Job tasks consists of:
- Prep, cook, plate all produce, proteins, starches, sauces, and desserts
- Working in a clean and sanitary condition
- Clean and wash tables and dirty dishes
- Serve disabled Seniors
- Perform customer service to our customers in need
- Work in a timely and orderly fashion
- Work as a team player to finish all tasks
- Be willing to learn new techniques, foods, and products
There are two necessary requirements you must receive before you can be a volunteer here:
- Current TB test (Tuberculosis Test), which you can get from your doctor, clinic or nurse
- California Food Handlers Certificate, which you can get online for a small fee ($8-$25 depends on the website) which is valid for 3 years

The Age Well Center is a community facility that caters to the general public primarily for Senior needs. Classes, Lunch, Tax Services, Health Services, and many other programs are available at this facility. This is a "home away from home" for our Seniors in this community, with your help we will make our facility run stronger.
