Fun with mulch

Join us on October 1st as we launch our first volunteer workday of the season!

We had a great time at the spring volunteer appreciation event, let us have an even better time celebrating the LIVING ARROYOS VOLUNTEER KICKOFF EVENT. There will be food, games, and good company. Food will be served at 11:30 AM. All volunteers are welcome and you are not required to work in the morning to attend the lunch.

DON'T WANT TO MISS OUT ON THE FUN?

We'll work from 9 AM to 11:30 AM and have lunch from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

We will supply equipment, snacks and water for volunteers. Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and clothing you don't mind getting dirty. We work rain or shine, so come prepared! A hat, water bottle, and sunblock will help.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?

Work on October 1st, will consist of controlling invasive species (otherwise known as weeding) and refreshing mulch around our oaks.

PARK: Corner of Summertree Drive and Cottonwood Court, Livermore CA 94551

WE WILL MEET AT THE EAST END OF THE SITE (OPPOSITE OF WHERE WE TYPICALLY ARE). Follow the signs along the bike path heading east (5 min walk) to get to our site by the creek! Allow a few extra minutes for parking and finding us; we'd like to start right at 9.

Every volunteer must have a signed waiver on file:

  • If you're under 18: please bring a release form filled out by a parent/guardian.
  • If you are over 18: you will fill one out for yourself.
  • Waivers and release forms are available HERE
  • NOTE: You only need to fill out a release form ONCE and you're good for the year (Oct-Apr)!

We look forward to sharing this day with you!
