ORGANIZATION: VEAP- Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People

VEAP (Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People) is a basic needs organization whose programs include access to healthy foods, social services, housing stability, and supportive services. Together, we create pathways to stronger, more hopeful, communities.

VEAP enlists the help of over 3,000 volunteers each year to ensure the smooth running of our Food Pantry and other services. Join us in this work as a Food Pantry Warehouse Volunteer!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive and sort food and general donations; repackage food for food pantry shelves; stock food pantry shelves.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to work cooperatively with others; adapt to varied work environment; Ability to stand for a 3.5 hour shift and lift up to 25 lbs, friendly and good customer service skills

11:00-2:15pm
2:00pm-5:15pm

Description

VEAP is a basic needs and social services organization whose programs promote access to healthy foods, stable housing and transportation. VEAP’s programs are designed to address a particular need and when used together provide hope and can help avoid a financial crisis such as loss of housing, transportation or employment. Whether the hardship is from a disability, job transition, or the financial and physical stresses of aging, VEAP has been helping our neighbors in need for over 40 years in Bloomington, Richfield, and Edina.
