GRID Alternatives Mid-Atlantic is a non-profit solar installer in Washington, DC. We install solar panels and provide job training in underserved communities. We are currently installing solar for residents of Washington, DC and Baltimore.
Volunteering with GRID Alternatives is a great way to get hands-on with solar technology, build your solar resume, engage your corporate or organizational team, give back to the community, and contribute to cleaner air for everyone.
As a volunteer you will, learn to install photovoltaic solar panels for low-income homeowners. On site, you will be assigned to a roof or grounds team and instructed by our Solar Installation Supervisors through the installation process.

Attend a mandatory orientation before your first install
Learn technical and construction skills
