THE SHEPHERDS CENTER OF CHARLOTTE INC
Volunteers are needed to provide transportation for essential needs to ambulatory seniors living in Mecklenburg County who can no longer drive. Essential needs are defined as medical (doctor, dentist, pharmacy, therapy, etc.), bank, grocery store or food bank, and other errands. Volunteers will use their own car and are offered mileage reimbursement. Volunteers can specify available days & times, and which zip codes they are willing to go to. This is a great opportunity to fill a need for a senior lacking support from family and friends. PPE will be provided to drivers as needed.
