About

Project Manager - Sustainable EarthBag Village Construction

Who are we?

One Community is a 501c3 non-profit sustainability think-tank and implementation organization.

What is the project?

We are in the design phase for a sustainable eco-community, focusing on our Earth Bag Village. This is a maximally affordable sustainable village model purposed to be replicated as easily as possible as either individual structures or a complete village model. Building with earthbags is easier to duplicate than most other methods because the bags are easy to purchase and ship, earth is free, and the mixture needed to stabilize the earth (lime or cement) is also affordable and globally available. Our open source and free-shared village will save resources and help model a redefinition of how people choose to live.

Who are you?

You are passionate about sustainability and have a desire to share your gift; co-creating positive change with like-minded people. You're a leader, a visionary and with an expertise in managing construction projects including electrical, plumbing, and structural related. Maybe you're retired, or working on an advanced degree. Maybe you're a go-getter who likes to have his/her hands in various outside projects or spend your weekends giving in a meaningful way.

What are the project details?

We are looking for your help 5-10 hours a week for approximately 60-90 days. You will work closely with our Executive Director in building and managing the team of professionals needed to complete all the electrical, plumbing, and structural details for the Earthbag Village.
