Care Dimensions is seeking volunteers who have certified pet therapy dogs to join our Complementary Therapies program. Therapy Dogs visit hospice patients wherever they call home -- nursing homes, assisted living facilities and private homes. Our service area covers more than 90 cities and towns -- Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk and Suffolk counties. Volunteers are needed in all geographic regions.
Two hours a week of your time can make a profound difference in someone's life. A comprehensive orientation is all you need to become certified as a Care Dimensions Pet Therapy Volunteer. Pet Therapy provides a sense of comfort and companionship for patients as well as an opportunity for life review. Volunteer services are flexible and YOU decide on the hours you are willing to give (preferably a minimum of 2 hours per week).
For additional information, please contact Sheryl Meehan, Director of Volunteer Services and Complementary Therapies at 978.750.9321 or smeehan@CareDimensions.org
