ORGANIZATION: Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley

Help maintain local families' homes with Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley!

We are honored to be supporting veterans and their families through our Home Repair Program. The Program aims to alleviate critical health, life, and safety issues for qualified and selected homeowners, many of which are veterans. Homeowners participate in their repairs by contributing sweat equity volunteer hours if physically able.

Benefits to the community:

* Allows families to live in safe, well-maintained homes
* Preserved homeownership for low-income residents and protects their investment
* Restores neighborhood pride and homeowner dignity
* Improves the "curb appeal" of under-resourced neighborhoods

For safety reasons, all volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers ages 16 to 18 must bring a signed minor waiver form with them to the site. Minor waiver forms are available here: http://www.habitatebsv.org/sites/default/files/2017%20Minor%20Waiver%20Template.pdf .
