ORGANIZATION: STEELE-CORBETT GROUP HOMES

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 3 people are interested

We are looking for volunteers to help us teach our youth about healthy ways to have fun. Do you have a hobby that someone else might enjoy? We try to expose the youth to new opportunities and see if they can find something they are passionate about. We are also teaching them life skills. Are you good at cooking, sewing, repurposing, fashion, beauty, etc.

We have opportunities for 1 time experiences or regular experiences. You tell us.

We will provide basic training about working with our youth and assist you with group support.

Mission Statement

Established in 2001, Corbett Group Homes, Inc. is a private non-profit organization providing services to children and families. Corbett Group Homes, Inc. delivers a unique spectrum of social services designed to protect children at risk of abuse, neglect or abandonment; strengthen and stabilize families; help young people break the cycle of abuse and neglect; and find safe, loving homes for children.

Description

We have four group homes working with youth from the foster care system and Catholic Charities. Two of our homes are girls homes and 2 homes are co-ed sibling homes (so siblings can stay together). One of our homes works with youth who have been sexually exploited. We also work closely with our sister organization that has a Drop-In Center that provides classes, groups, arts, and resources for the youth.
