About

Kansas City Community Kitchen has been serving lunch in downtown Kansas City for more than 30 years. Anyone is welcome to come and eat food prepared by our staff & culinary students. We serve Monday - Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

In spring 2016 we changed from a cafeteria style of lunch service to a restaurant style service. Volunteers serve as the "front of house" staff - hosts, wait staff, bussers, etc. so that all guests truly experience "dining with dignity." We've made lots of news about this - you may have even seen us on Upworthy, Huffington Post or NBC Nightly News!

Volunteers are required to complete a release/waiver form, wear certain clothing, and be at least 14 years old (maybe a little younger with proper supervision and advanced notice). More details are available on our website at http://episcopalcommunity.org/Get%20Involved/volunteer.html or just reply to this listing and we'll get you started!
