I need your help

Throughout the year we have fundraising events from:

our Annual Luncheon (April 21, 2016),

Kitten Shower to stock up for kittens season (May 21),

Wine and Whiskers (July) for an upscale wine tasting and art sale,

new Paw Painting Party where some of our cats paint with acrylic paint on canvas,

Photography sessions with our adoptable cats with props and backdrops,

to our IndyGive! Kickoff event in Nov.

Plus a few thrown in throughout the year such as Pikes Peak Library programs or a special maintanance day at the shelter.

We need help for setup and cleanup, check attendees in, and general event support.

Occasionally help with designing and constructing centerpieces or event decorations would be a bomus :-)

About FELINE RESCUE NETWORK INC (Look What the Cat Brought In)

Location:

2129 E BOULDER ST, COLORADO SPGS, CO 80909, US

Mission Statement

We exist to care for cats that require longer shelter stays than a traditional shelter can provide, securing adoption when each cat is healthy and emotionally ready.

Description

Our hard-to-place cats arrive at Feline Rescue Network (Look What the Cat Brought In) from the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, Fort Carson Animal Rescue, the Humane Society of Fremont County, and Lamar Second Chance Animal Rescue Foundation. We offer them for adoption when they are healthy and well socialized.

As a limited-admission shelter for special-needs cats with limitations due to amputations, FIV-positive status, age, or pasts in hoarding homes, we address unique challenges. A recent dental procedure cost $1,700, and total medical expenses run about $45,000 per year. About 300 cats per year move to forever homes when they are well-adjusted, adoptable companions. The shelter can house up to 100 cats at a time.

We were the first shelter in Colorado Springs exclusively for cats. In 2013, we rescued one-third of our hard-to-place, special-needs cats from hoarders.
