Thank you for considering volunteering at Alacare Home Health and Hospice!

Our Music and Memory Volunteers play an integral roll in the lives of our hospice patients at Alacare. This volunteer will be trained to provide companionship through music to patients and their families. We provide music to our patients free of charge while on our service by loading an iPod of the patients favorite music to listen to for comfort. Volunteers can help do music assessments with patients, load music on iPods, create playlists, and can even deliver and set up the iPod for the patient in their home!

If you are interested in learning more about this volunteer opportunity, please send us an email. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

About Enhabit Home Health & Hospice

Location:

1311 2nd Avenue, Suite B, Cullman, AL 35055, US

Mission Statement

At Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, we believe hospice is not a place, but rather a philosophy of care. Our goal is to bring dignity and comfort home by offering compassionate care to patients and their families during the final stages of life.

Description

Enhabit is looking for direct patient and administrative volunteers to provide support to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much time and what types of things you want to do.

A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family.
