The Humane Society for Southwest Washington's Walk/Run for the Animals fundraiser has many volunteer tasks, from early morning setup to afternoon cleanup, and everything in between...
Greeter, registration, course constructor, course shepherd, finish line, hospitality and more. We're looking for reliable volunteers who will be ready to be outside and active in whatever weather comes that morning. Some tasks cater well to pairs of friends/spouses, so inquire about that.
This event supports the care of homeless animals at HSSW. All event assignments are outside, and the event happens despite any weather; so we're looking for dependable, committed volunteers ready to work hard and have fun.
Minors welcome with parent. More details and scheduling available upon inquiry.

The Humane Society for Southwest Washington enriches the lives of people, pets and our community through adoption and outreach, and serves as a resource for companion animal services and education.
Description
The Humane Society for Southwest Washington is dedicated to fostering a community where all creatures are treated with compassion and respect.
Founded in 1897, the Humane Society has a long tradition of caring for the animals of southwest Washington and surrounding areas. By working in collaboration with local veterinarians and animal rescue groups, the Humane Society and its partners in animal welfare look forward to a future where all companion animals will live in a loving home.
Through the work of our full-time and part-time staff, along with the assistance of more than 500 compassionate volunteers, the Humane Society for Southwest Washington offers an array of humane programs, including pet adoptions, community education, pet behavior advice, spay/neuter assistance and low-cost pet adoptions for seniors.
Through the generous support of local individuals, groups, and corporations, we are able to care for the thousands of orphaned animals we receive each year.
