Harmony Cafe is a nonprofit organization that is creating a community cafe in Patchogue.

At this time we are having pop-up events at the local VFW hall in Patchogue.

We will be hosting lunch every second Wednesday of the month starting in Feb of 2017.

Last year we had 8 lunch and dinner events.

We will be simulating Harmony Cafe and we will run it as a "Pay What You Can Afford menu" We average about 50 guests per lunch.

There will be suggested donations and not fixed prices on our menu.

We are seeking chefs and food prep workers that have experience preparing

healthy dishes. We will be using a "Farm to Table approach.

You must be passionate about cooking healthy dishes. We want to inspire our guest with

theses dishes. "Healthy food can taste delicious and be good for you".

Head chefs will develop menu offerings, forecasting supply needs and estimating costs. They are expected to make sure the Pop-up lunch events meets all sanitary and safety guidelines. Required to have Food manager certificate.

Food prep workers must have a food handlers certificate if you do not have a certificate and want to be a regular volunteer, we can arrange for you to take the course at our expense.

Our Mission is to create a nonprofit community cafe that will help end local hunger and food insecurity by providing healthy and delicious food to all who walk through our door. We will welcome and serve our patrons in a respectful and dignified manner, regardless of their ability to pay. We will serve all people, we must bring people together and not have separation because of a person's socioeconomic status. Please visit our website at harmonycafeli.org

We plan to have our own storefront in 2017. There will be volunteer opportunity as well as paid positions once open full time.

If you have the passion and you would like to make a difference, please introduce yourself by applying! Let us know your experience and why you would like to volunteer

Harmony Cafe for the past two years had monthly luncheon at Noon on the second Wednesday of each month at our temporary location at the VFW post-2913 on 32 Edwards Street in Patchogue, NY. We used a Pay-What-You-Can donation model. We had no prices on the menu, we had a suggested donation instead. Our lunches were two and a half hours in length and include live music. It was a social event meant to bring the community together, regardless of social status. We all deserve to have access to healthy food in an environment that is free of judgment and stigma for all people. Harmony Cafe is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization.
