The Carrollton Branch Library is looking for volunteers to help people in the community file their taxes. The Carrollton Library will usually need tax aide volunteers from February through tax day on April 15th but there will be more opportunities to help in other venues if you like.
The AARP provides ample training for all volunteers so there is no experience necessary! Please call the library at 757-238-2641 or email Shannon at sconroy@blackwaterlib.org for more information!

Description
Blackwater Regional Library, a regional system comprising 9 branches and a bookmobile, originated from a single library facility: The Walter Cecil Rawls Library and Museum. On June 13, 1958, the facility was dedicated for the use of the people of Southampton County and nearby communities. Since then, the library system has acquired 8 more branches plus a bookmobile servicing the City of Franklin, Counties of Isle of Wight, Southampton, Surry, and Sussex.
