Nonprofit Leader.Org (NLO) is a co-working space, incubator and accelerator for Seattle nonprofit startups. We are of one of four organizations under our support organization Angels for Angels. We exist to create community, capacity and synergy among nonprofit leaders, social entrepreneurs and their organizations. We are a new organization that is building the plane while we’re flying it. Furthermore, were expanding, and are looking for someone to make a difference across multiple organizations simultaneously. The successful candidate will work with the following four organizations in addition to NLO: Angels for Angels, Redeeming Soles, Red Light Traffic, Apl.de.Ap Foundation. Nonprofit Leader.org is now accepting applications for the position of Social Media Volunteer. This is a part-time volunteer position. Such an opportunity will allow you to connect and network with top professionals within the non-profit world, serving a wide variety of issues and attend exclusive monthly networking events.


The Social Media Volunteer is responsible for the overall management of the space and collaborations, including:


?Manage three non-profit Facebook accounts to ensure that all new updates within the organizations are posted two times a week with one blog post a month

? Raising awareness of crucial events taking place within the organizations

? Marketing Young Nonprofit Leaders’ Youth Empowerment Day

?Be proactive in obtaining updates from management

?Research blog content and create original material



The ideal candidate will have desire, experience, and success in the following areas:


?Ability to promote a community organization by working with the public, other organizations, media, governmental agencies, educators and volunteers

?Highly organized

?Leadership potential

?Great interpersonal skills and flexibility to work with many organizations

?Honest, trustworthy and reliable

?Creativity and ability to learn on the job

?Integrity: People can rely on you to do what you are going to do by when you say you are going to do it, and you do not just what you say you would do, but what is expected of you.

We also have openings for a volunteer recruiter, in which the individual will have the same desired experience as noted above, as well as have a keen desire and enjoyment for constant interaction with the community and college undergraduates to recruit fresh talent. Such an individual would gain experience within recruiting that can later translate to an exciting career within Human Resources or higher positions within the non-profit world.


VOLUNTEER OBJECTIVES

Students can expect to:

?Understand how nonprofit organizations work

?Develop their leadership abilities

? Be part of a team of people making a difference and network with fun people

?Build a network of amazing and passionate local changemakers

?Grow through ongoing training, development and mentorship with successful professionals
