We are looking for volunteers for our Annual Justice for Homicide Victims National Day Of Rememrance.

What is it: In 2007, Congress designated Sept. 25th as the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. The annual National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims gives us all the opportunity to remember those lost to homicide, and honor their memories. The purpose of this day of remembrance is to focus on the impact of murder on families, and communities, and ways to support and serve survivors.

What are we looking for:

We are looking for a photographer to capture the best moments of the event from 5:00PM-8:00PM and for volunteers to help SET-UP from 3:00PM-5:00PM and BREAK-DOWN from 7:00PM-8:30PM.

To be the champion of the legal rights of survivors of homicide victims by providing them information about victim rights in all aspects of the criminal justice system.

Description

Provide support and friendship to distressed persons who experienced the homicide of a family member.

Foster survivors physical and emotional health.

Provide contact with similarly bereaved family members or other persons.

Provide public awareness and education of victim rights and the abuse or noncompliance of thee rights in all areas of the criminal justice system.

Provide support of victims who fight for their rights.
