The Northside Community Support Program (NCSP) is a resource center for adults with a mental illness. Our services include: housing assistance, benefits assistance, supportive counseling, peer support, recreational activities, psychosocial educational and support groups, community outreach, community education, family education, MI/CD support groups, and referral to other community supports to help people manage their illness and recovery.
We are currently looking for a BINGO CALLER!
This position is responsible for providing a FUN experience for NCSP members while maintaining confidentiality of club members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This is an ongoing position that is needed every 3rd Thursday of the month from 1:00-2:30 p.m. BINGO typically runs for about an hour with a 10 minute break. We ask that volunteers commit to coming at least once a month for 3-6 months to promote consistency and stability with our members.
Volunteer will arrive approximately 10 minutes prior to bingo time and set up the prize table and bingo equipment with assistance from staff and members.
Responsible for controlling the bingo program time by calling game ball numbers at a speed with which members are able to mark their bingo cards accurately.
Announces bingo ball numbers and verifies them with staff assistance.
Protects the integrity of bingo and operation of all bingo gamed, in all ways possible.
Skills / Requirements
Must be a "people" person and be ready to present a fun and engaging bingo experience.
Must be accepting and supportive of adults with serious and persistent mental illness.
Must be aware of confidentiality requirements and be able to demonstrate appropriate boundaries.
