The Line

Every Saturday morning in the parking lot of the JFK Coliseum at 303 Beech St. in Manchester NH, Food for Children ( http://www.foodfc.org/) has a weekly outdoor food ministry, rain or shine. This is a joint effort between Food For Children and the NH Food Bank. We begin setting up around 7:30 AM, we welcome anyone who would like to volunteer. We usually finish up around 11:30 AM. We typically server 350-450 families each week. Volunteer activities include, setting up and breaking down, distributing food, and carrying food to peoples cars.

Food For Children is a 100% volunteer organization that relies on donations from individuals, local churches, and business ( http://www.foodfc.org/howtohelp.html). We accept no money from any state or government agency. Any left over food at the end of the day is given to other churches/ministries.

We are always in need of volunteers, this is an outdoor event so you should dress for cold weather.

Mission Statement

FFC's ultimate mission is to reach into the community and provide food assistance to families in need. Keeping in mind that some families have to choose between rent or food and that some individuals have to choose between their prescriptions or food, FFC attempts to serve the community such that no one goes hungry and no parent has to wonder where their child's next meal will come from.

Description
