Compassionate Care Hospice is looking for empathetic volunteers to make telephone calls to bereaved individuals. Maturity, reliability and good listening skills are the most important requirements for this position. It is also necessary that you have a quiet time and a quiet place from which you can make phone calls. This ensures that the person you are telephoning will have your undivided attention and will be able to hear you clearly. You can also make the calls from our office.
This volunteer opportunity is a wonderful fit for outgoing individuals who view life with a positive outlook and enjoy making connections with others. It is extremely flexible and can be done from home or our office!
Training and background checks required and are provided free of charge by Compassionate Care Hospice. You will be able to observe the bereavement coordinator while she makes phone calls as well as learn about the grief process prior to beginning calls on your own.
