Landmark Luncheon 2017

Support Atlanta’s favorite urban green space by volunteering for Piedmont Park Conservancy’s 22nd Annual Landmark Luncheon event on Thursday, April 26th from 9:30 am-1:30 pm.

This annual fundraising event allows Piedmont Park Conservancy to continue its mission to enhance and preserve Piedmont Park as a vital urban green space that enriches the quality of life for all Atlantans. It also provides essential funding for the care and maintenance of the park, educational programming and so much more!

Day of Information:

  • Volunteers assist with event set-up, event break-down, directing guests to the tent and to their tables, and so much more!
  • The shift runs from 9:30AM- 1:30PM.
  • Adults must be 21+ years old.
  • Volunteers should be enthusiastic, enjoy working with the public and be comfortable greeting guests helping with directions.
  • This outdoor event takes place under a tent. Must be comfortable standing for 3 hours and working outdoors.


Dress Code:

  • Volunteers should dress in business casual attire. Men should wear slacks and dress shirts (blazers are optional). Ladies may wear a dress or a nice blouse with pants/skirt.
  • Comfortable dress shoes.


Directions to Landmark Luncheon in Piedmont Park:

  • This event will take place on The Promenade in Piedmont Park.
  • Volunteers will meet Piedmont Park Conservancy staff at the entrance to the tent on The Promenade.
  • The Promenade is located off the 1st or 2nd level of the parking garage shared by Piedmont Park and Atlanta Botanical Garden. If you exit off the 1st level, you will enter a stone courtyard. Take the first path uphill to your left which will take you directly to The Promenade. If you northern exit off the 2nd level, take the ramp down to The Promenade.
  • To access the parking garage, enter via the Atlanta Botanical Gardens main entrance (1345 Piedmont Avenue, Atlanta, GA, 30309) or from Monroe Drive (1320 Monroe Dr., NE, Atlanta, GA 30306).
  • There is a fee to park in the garage. Please note that no parking validations are given at the Parking Garage located in the park.

Description

Piedmont Park Conservancy is the nonprofit organization, working with the City of Atlanta for the preservation of historic Piedmont Park. Since our inception in 1989, the Conservancy has successfully restored the historic portion of Piedmont Park. The Conservancy has raised and invested more than $60 million for park beautification, maintenance/security, programs, and also includes a 53-acre expansion of green space. The Piedmont Park Conservancy has successfully transformed the once dilapidated Park into the most visited in green space in Atlanta. The Conservancy currently manages more than 90 percent of the Park’s daily maintenance care and security.
