I am looking for companionship volunteers to visit our patients in the Canal Winchester/Pickerington areas. Companionship volunteers give the gift of presence to our terminally ill patients by being a listening ear or simply holding a hand. You may read to the patient or play music. There are many ways to provide comfort to our patients.
I am also seeking volunteers who are certifide in the following:
Pet Therapy
Massage Therapy
Reiki or other energy work
Art Therapy
Music Therapy

Mission Statement
The mission of Harbor Light Hospice is to facilitate access to dignified end-of-life care and quality services that allow our patients and families the hospice option to live life richly, deeply, and meaningfully for as long as it lasts.
Description
Our Commitment To Care
Harbor Light Hospice is committed to providing the highest quality of care possible by employing a team of healthcare professionals and volunteers to administer palliative and supportive care. The hospice team works to meet the medical (physical), emotional, spiritual, social, and practical needs of patients, family members, and friends when a life-limiting illness clouds the future. Hospice is unique in the healthcare system with its extended "unit of care".
The Work of Hospice
Harbor Light Hospice provides its array of services through a team of professionals and volunteers who are physician directed and nurse coordinated. Hospice works because the team works with a patient, their family and caregivers, and the patient's physician to develop a Plan of Treatment and an Interdisciplinary Plan of Care that coordinates the delivery of that care from the medicine, supplies and equipment to the Nurse, Nursing Assistant, Social Worker, Chaplain, and Volunteer visits.
