Interviews of older Santee residents, are so essential. These people know fascinating pieces of history, containing information that could easily be lost. We need volunteers to conduct oral history interviews of today's older generations, to make sure that their stories of life in Santee are not lost. If you are one of these older residents, we also need your history.

We also need the interviews of some key persons who have contributed to the history and development of Santee. If people in power don't intimidate you, you might be the person we are looking for. We would like people that have experience in interviewing to record the recollections of these particular people.

Interviews would be taken in Santee, either at the Barn in Santee, or at a location convenient to the person being interviewed.

We will provide forms, etc for your interview. You must have experience conducting interviews, and be able to provide a detailed summary along with the recorded interview.

We currently have over 2 dozen people that have expressed an interest to having their stories recorded, so we need interviewers immediately. Please note that you will need to come to Santee to conduct the interviews.
