ORGANIZATION: AARP Fraud Watch Network Helpline

The AARP Fraud Program in uptown Denver is seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with data entry and recording. The AARP Fraud Program volunteers field thousands of calls each year inquiring about and reporting instances of fraud and scams targeting older adults. We need assistance imputing the data of these calls and recognizing trends.

If you are interested in being involved in the process of protecting older adults and utilizing general computer skills, this opportunity is for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately input data on fraud complaints and tips utilizing a basic form on an online database (Salesforce)
  • Analyze data to track trends about scams and fraud targeting older adults

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Comfortable using computers for information gathering
  • Ability to take clear and accurate documentation
  • Computer data entry skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Must complete work in the AARP Foundation office during regular working business hours

ORIENTATION/TRAINING

Data entry volunteers must acquire a working knowledge of the online database system (Salesforce) associated with the program. Training will be provided in addition to on-the-job support.

TIME COMMITMENT

We ask data entry volunteers to commit to serving for at least a 4 month period. We are flexible with scheduling hours that fit with the volunteers’ schedules and the needs of the program.
