Volunteers make the difference in the lives of the families that come through our doors-by cooking, hosting, listening, nurturing or simply by being there.

Ronald McDonald House of Portland is in need of volunteers to help keep this "Home Away From Home" running. Volunteers work in three-hour shifts from 9am to 9pm each day, and assist with check-in and check-out of families, administrative tasks, and housekeeping. If you're interested in helping families stay together while their child is hospitalized, please let us know!
Weekend Managers reside at the House and manage all basic aspects of daily operations while staff are off-duty. Weekend Managers cover one or two weekends a year (more if desired) from Friday 5 pm - Saturday 5 pm or Saturday 5 pm to Sunday 5 pm. This is a great opportunity for families to volunteer together!

Description
Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Its grassroots-driven programs offer help where children need it most - right in their own communities. RMHC makes an immediate, positive impact on children's lives through its global network of local Chapters in 52 countries and regions and its three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. These programs provide a bridge to accessible health care and allow families more time together, which helps in the healing process. RMHC and its global network of local Chapters also have hundreds of millions of dollars in grants and program services to children's programs around the world.
